Studio+ is AKI ArtEZ’s new evening programme for adults who wish to develop and deepen their artistic and creative practice.
Studio+ offers a space to explore, experiment and create new work. Without the pressure of qualifications, but with the same curiosity, quality and commitment that characterise art education. Enrolment opens on 1 September 2026.
Two evenings a week, you’ll work in the studios and workshops at AKI ArtEZ, surrounded by the academy’s creative energy. You’ll develop your own practice, meet other artists and designers, and receive professional guidance in an environment where research, experimentation and artistic development take centre stage. When the working day ends, Studio+ begins.
Anyone who is motivated can enrol. You do not need to sit an entrance exam. What matters more are curiosity, motivation and the desire to keep creating.
Who is it for?
Studio+ is intended for adults with a passion for art and design.
Many people want to continue developing artistically, but have a day job, their own practice or other commitments. Studio+ makes art and design education accessible at times that suit you. Whether you want to start afresh, deepen your practice or continue your creative development: Studio+ offers the time, the space and the community to grow further.
For alumni who want to work in a studio again. For artists and designers who want to deepen their practice. For creative professionals seeking space for research and experimentation. And for anyone who wants to invest seriously in their artistic development, alongside work, business or family life.

Tutors
The strength of Studio+ lies in its personalised guidance. You’ll work alongside experienced artists, designers and tutors from AKI ArtEZ who combine their own professional practice with teaching. They’ll guide your process, ask questions, share their expertise and help you further shape your artistic development.
Workshops
The studios and specialised workshops form the heart of Studio+. Depending on the programme, you will work with a wide range of materials, techniques and media – from analogue to digital, from experimentation to execution. You will make use of AKI ArtEZ’s professional facilities and discover new possibilities within your own practice.
Programme
Studio+ consists of two evenings a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) and combines studio practice, technique, experimentation, project development, coaching and critique sessions. The programme runs for a minimum of two semesters and offers ample time to build your own artistic development and create new work.
Start: 3 February 2027, max. 25 places; no entry requirements: 224 contact hours; Fees: €1,375 per semester.

Do I need to be an artist or designer to take part?
No. Studio+ is intended for anyone who wants to invest seriously in their own artistic development.
Do I need to submit a portfolio?
No, there is no admissions procedure for Studio+; only an information session to answer any questions about the course content.
